According to http://www.travel-hotels-switzerland.com/ticino-ho
there is a Metropole hotel 28 miles from Bellinzona. Bill

Yes,, from Lonely Planets guidebook = Via Ludovico il Moro. From map it appears you could walk directly accross vielle stazione street from train station to Hotel Internazionale, turn right and around next corner is Metropoli (ending in I , i suspect that spelling threw off the above reply)
