Hi there, about 20 of us plans to go to Tuguegarao City on March 31 to Apr. 02. I would like to inquire what are the must-go places in Tuguegarao, the best known places that I have heard of are Mt. Calvary, Callao Cave & Our Lady of Piat. Are there any more places that we should visit while we are there? Considering the limited time that we have, what should be the order of sites that we should visit?
Also, can you recommend a very affordable inn? Will appreciate any of your kind suggestions. Thanks a lot. |

Callao Cave is a must. check also the river gorge boat ride by the river at the Callao Cave Park. Our Lady of Piat Basilica is about 1 1/2 hr drive from Tuguegarao by private car. The place may be crowded on Sundays. for more info, pls check my Province of Cagayan page (and Penablanca page).

you can also try to go to the different brick churches up north of cagayan... its steel suspension bridge and at the northern most tip of the philippines san vicente... then to palaui island and its light house...
the scenery along the road is simply breathtaking... full of greens, as if your in the setting of the Lord of the Rings movie... happy trip! owen Ü
