| Ankara | Student looking for a shared apartment or a small apartment Posted: Sun March 12, 2006 05:52 PM UTC
I´m an Austrian student and I´m going to do an internship in Ankara for four months. I´m looking for a shared apartement (with other students)/or a small apartment between 15 April and 15 August. Does anybody know where I can search? Will it be very difficult to find a place?

Servus Barbara,Unfortunately it is not a custom of Turkish old ladies to hire a room to the young students. There is no "untermieter" system in Turkey. Please contact with other students haveing the some problem in Ankara forum. To give you a good information I must know the following questions:
1- to which Uni. are you coming? Medicine? 2-How much can you pay for a furnished flat? or a shared flat?

Thanks for your response....it seems you speak German! :-)Actually I´m going to do an internship (Praktikum) in Ankara so I´ll work and won´t be at the University during this time. I would pay up to 300 Euros per month but if it is less it would be better.
Any idea how I could contact students who would like to share their apartment? Thanks for your help!

Hi, I have seen your message a little late. I have a fully furnished flat (3 bedroom, 1 reception) in Ankara in a very good location (very near to Ministry Of Foreign Affairs and in a good location for most of the universties (Hacettepe, Middle East Technical Universty, Gazi Universty). I will rent it for long or short term for 700$ per month. You may contact me from ayaskocak@yahoo.com
