Hi I live in the UK and would like some info on the lifestyle of Pakistan especially Lahore as I am seriously considering moving there. I've been reading most of the messages posted on here and I'm really glad to know that there are people who can provide some well needed info. I was also wondering if there are any other folks out there in lahore who lived in say America or the UK and have permanently moved to Lahore. Am i right in saying one of those folks is bobbydigital? I've got family in Faisalabaad but i'm sure you all agree that it is really difficult for someone who has been brought up and lived all his life in the west to move to Faisalabaad.lol.

Also want to know about the development of Lake city on Raiwind road. I was thinking of buying a plot there and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be a sound investment or buy. I have a plot in Westwood colony and will be building a house there soon. I would love to hear from anyone that could help me out as I really have my heart set on moving to Lahore in the near future.

Thanks Imran for the info. I have been thinking about DHA but I just have this feeling that Lake city is going to be amazing. I think it will be completed in about 2-3yrs time. Also can I ask how easy is it to rent apartments and houses in Pakistan? I mean I am thinking of building a few houses/apartments and putting them up for rent. Location is the most important factor and I believe the plot in Westwood colony is ideal for anyone that wishes to rent apartment/house.

I have visited the defence area. Not sure what phase it was but it's the phase where Subway Sandwiches is. I'll consider doing something in the Defence area because I believe your word, Imran. I've read alot of your messages and you certainly seem to know alot about Pakistan. Also everyone I speak to about Lahore all recommend the Defence area. I hope to Move to Lahore in the next 4-5 years but will be making a few trips there in the meantime. Would love to meet anyone who can show me around. Is there anyone in Lahore that can organise these VT meetings/tours I've read about?

Just want to add that when I visited the Defence area in Lahore I thought it was amazing. It beats any area In the UK hands down.

Hi, It will be nice if your moving to Lahore. I am living in lahore. I was grown up in New York. and It was so hard to move to Lahore. but since I moved things are great. I am in film production and there are so many things you can do in Lahore. lot of people do see Pakistan in that way. if you have experience overseas you can be creative and enjoy life here. there are many my friends here who lived overseas and are back and love country.
