Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Malmö Malmö (/Copenhagen) in May
Posted: Sat March 11, 2006 11:34 AM UTC
Hi all,

We are planning to participate in a conference in Malmö in (mid) May. Looking at some pages we haven't decided yet how to get there (drive, or maybe fly after all?), nor have we decided yet on a reasonably priced hotel. As driving is an option, a hotel a bit outside of town would be fine to.
Any suggestions on the trip there? Flying after all, maybe to Copenhagen+train to Malmö? Smaller hotels/B&B in the area? And last but not least - is there maybe a (small) VT-meeting planned?
Thanks so far!

P.

Hallo. I can advise you to have a look at Sinequanon`s page she gives a nice accommodation tip. And then you be in walking range of the central copenhagen and have easy transportation to malmø also.

Hello Pete,

I once stayed in a Bed & Breakfast in Copenhagen and really liked it. I booked it through http://www.net-bb.dk/.

From Copenhagen I went on a daytrip by train to Malmo. For more info please have a look at my Copenhagen and Malmoe pages and feel free to contact me.

Greetings from snowy Germany

Hey Holger!
Thx - will have a look for sure, B&B sounds really good. And we just found out the conference starts on tuesday, so an additional long weekend could be a good option :)
We'll be in touch again later for some questions I guess!

have a good weekend!

Hello Pete,

B&B are becoming more and more popular in Scandinavia and they are always a good option for an affordable accomodation. Apart from that you usually get a good insight in the local life and if you are lucky enough your hosts might be friendly and talkative.
