| Lhasa | What can I expect? Posted: Fri March 10, 2006 08:54 PM UTC
Hi, I am going on a 8 day trekking tour starting in Lhasa in the middle of May. My question is what sort of things can I expect. i.E. When we are trecking do the tours usually provide people or vehicles to carry equipment/ supplies? Do you normally set up a camp each night with tents etc. How strenuous are the treks? I'm 54 yo not in great shape but go to the gym 4 days a week. On the treks do you typically meet Tibetan people. Or is it primarily sight seeing? I have my itinery below. Thank you for any help.

I hate to get political, but: Tibet is currently a country oppressed by chinese invaders, whose efforts are to destroy its sovereign independence, who are decimating its remaining forests and using the Amdo to store nuclear wastes and house nuclear weapons.

You "hate to get political"????
I think you only exist to be political and spread your unsupported opinions on a website like this just to be contentious. You are registered but have NO info whatsoever, and just a bunch of question marks. The owners of this site should have zapped you when you first signed up but they didn't realize you were USING THEM and their site for your own selfish, political viewpoints. You want to get political? Start your own website and blog and stop wasting the bandwidth of the people here...
