What cities are good to visit that are close to the Cinque Terre? We're landing in Milan, going on to Genoa for one night and then to the CT for 2 nights. What then? We have 5 more days and nights to travel.

if you look in the forum topics on VT you will find a lot of suggestions and advices about your issue.
In 5 more days you have time enough to go everywhere. Consider that by train from CT it takes 2 hours to go to Florence. Or 4 hours to arrive in Rome. What are you looking for? If you like to stay in the Liguria, close to Cinque Terre, there is (westward) Levanto, Sestri Levante, Santa Margherita, Portofino that deserve a visit. And (eastward) Porto Venere and Lerici are two more gems. Be more specific if you need more help. Ciao. Marco
