| Riomaggiore | The Cinque Terre in winter Posted: Wed March 8, 2006 04:28 AM UTC
I have been to the Cinque Terre three times, but always in June or September. My brother will be in the area in early January 2007, however I am advising against going because I am not sure that the Via Del Amore walk will be open and whether restaurants/pensione's in the area will also be open.
Does anyone have any experience in this area in winter time? |

I am thinking his experience would be better in the winter when there are few tourists, if tomatoes are still ripening on the vines in november when we have been there, I think January would be just fine. Obviously everything won't be open but enough will.
