Wintering Over

Hello again, everyone.

It's been awhile since I've posted in the VT forums. I've been rather stationary the last two years, attending university in Lubbock, Texas, in the USA.

Unfortunately, higher education in the US of A is getting rather expensive, and I find myself yet again serving an 8 month winter contract at McMurdo Station, Antarctica.

I will probably post every once in a while here on the VT forums, but email me at my VT account and I'll be glad to share with you the address of my blog (which I have made a commitment to update at least every other day now).

May you be warmer than I for the next 7 months...

Hello there, I wish you much success. I must confess after taking an Antarctica trip this past nov/dec, I am certainly understand why you would do this. There is something alluring about Antarctica, I thought when we went it would be a once-in-a-lifetime, however, all I think about is returning again...I will be checking your site, stay safe !!! I envy you !! Heather

G'day Fox

Hope you have a good trip down there and pleasant company. I'll think of you at Midwinter when at my group from 1966 has the toast to "The Expeditioners" at our reunion.

Best of luck down there Fox...... I know McMurdo must be very different during the 'winter' than when I was there in the 'summer'. Are you at McMurdo this time?

Yes, I'm much warmer. I'm spending several months in the desert of Qatar.....
