Newcastle Newcastle Brown Ale

Hi all,
I've not long moved to the area {Newcastle} and have several groups of mates visiting during the forthcoming months. What I really need to know is, do they do tours of the Newcastle Brown Ale Brewery? I'm sure this would be a great place to take a bunch of lads to get them started for the weekend and even though i've scoured the net for info i've had no luck as yet. Look forward to hearing from anyone on the above question.

It's still brewed in Newcastle but no longer at the site in the city centre - a terrific location directly opposite St. James Park.
Its now brewed south of the river at the Vaux Brewery next to the Metrocentre - in that respect it's easy to find but I don't know if they do tours. Try the web for Vaux Breweries, you might find the information there.
There are tours of St. James Park....

Last year I was doing some research for a food museum and I read that the tours had stopped. I think this coincided with the move to the new out-of-town brewery.
