Hi, I am travelling to Lahore in Pakistan in April for 4 weeks and am looking for accommodation for 4 people, Husband, wife and two children, boys aged 12 and 15. I am looking for secure accommodation in area like Defence or Gulberg etc. Accommodations needs to be furnished with a cleaner. Any other advise on this trip would be helpful. I have been to Pakistan before and have distance family in Lahore.

i think you may know that here only 4 weeks stay on rental basis is not possible because normally the rental contract duration is for 11 month or 12 months. i do not know about exceptions because its always every where. the areas specially defence is very clean and well planned. april will be mix season
in the day hot and in the evening/night moderated but not cold.lahore is a full of history, old buildings, parks and variety in food (from dal channa with rice to international food restauyrants). there are lot to see and lot to eat. just be careful about the tap water and prefer to use the mineral bottle water. security is not a issue if we use the common sense and play, work, walk, in the normal way and to the normal places. now a days lahore becomes very colorfull because of SPRING FASTIVAL (BASANT) and lot of activities are undergoing on officially. hope to see in lahore if got your visit plan. Hi I live in the UK and would like some info on the lifestyle of Pakistan especially Lahore as I am seriously considering moving there. I've been reading most of the messages posted on here and I'm really glad to know that there are people who can provide some well needed info. I was also wondering if there are any other folks out there in lahore who lived in say America or the UK and have permanently moved to Lahore. Am i right in saying one of those folks is bobbydigital? I've got family in Faisalabaad but i'm sure you all agree that it is really difficult for someone who has been brought up and lived all his life in the west to move to Faisalabaad.lol.

Also want to know about the development of Lake city on Raiwind road. I was thinking of buying a plot there and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be a sound investment or buy. I have a plot in Westwood colony and will be building a house there soon. I would love to hear from anyone that could help me out as I really have my heart set on moving to Lahore in the near future.
