In a desperate search for a place to stay

Hello :)

My friend and I will be in bcn April 9 - May 26. We are searching for a room to rent in that time. Unfortunately most of the people we write on loquo or craigslist don't respond. Perhaps the dates turn people off because that is a little long. Therefore we are open to any time in those dates that we can get.

Any suggestions? I'm sure we'll figure something out, but I figured posting on VT wouldn't hurt. :)

Hey Erin,

a friend of mine did the same as well and told me it was difficult-however, it is not impossible=) Of course, high-season starts here in Barcelona in April, but there are still rooms and apartments left. Maybe, you should consider to stay in an apartment for some days in order to search for a flat on the spot. It will be easier. There are enough companies who offer accommodation services and it depends on you how long you wanna stay and how much you wanna spend. My friend used the service of www.oh-barcelona.com and was really satisfied. Just compare the room's features and prices and check in for maybe half a week (not on the weekend!)-would be better to be flexibel... You will definitely find another cheaper flat within the days you are in the apartment! I hope this was a help!!!
