Hi All,
I am curently in Vientiane and was informed by a few guys I met in Vang Vieng last week that there are now a few ATM's that except debit (Maestro/Cirrus)cards in the city, but does anyone know exactly where they are, I think one is by the river? |

Well actually there's only the one ATM in Vientiane, and pretty the whole of Laos that will allow you to take out cash using your Debit card - i think it has a limit of 800,000 kip limit per transaction, but not sure of a day limit. It's the one u talk of, near the Mekong, bank name is 'Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao' pretty close to the Nam Pou.
