hello - my husband and i will stay in miyajima for one night

I just finished booking a reservation at a Miyajima ryokan. After looking at the same website you looked at and also http://www.japaneseguesthouses.com/db/miyajima/index.htm I tried to book a reservation at Momiji-so but they said they were booked for my date despite their gambo-ad website saying it was available. I tried Watanabe Inn, but they are closed (?) for my date. I had to eliminate a couple of them because I'm travelling solo and some places want to double occupancy so they can charge more. I endded up booking at Jukeiso for a total of 16170 for one night including both meals and taxes. A bit pricier than I wanted to spend, but the pics look nice and I've "googled" plenty of good reviews about them. They may be a 20 min walk from the ferry station, but they do have a pickup service and apparently you can ask people at the dock to call the ryokan for you.

I forgot to add that part of the reason I decided to go with Jukeiso was because they have onsen that looked quite nice. Alot of the ryokan seemed much cheaper because their prices didn't include meals and/or taxes. From what I've read it sounds much easier to get meals at the ryokan you're staying at since many of the ryokan will serve only their guests dinner esp. if they're fully booked. Apparently most things are closed by 17:00 since most of the island's visitors are only daytrippers.

Where did you see that Jukeiso has an onsen? From the website, it looks like they have a nice bath, but no mention of it being a hot spring.

They're also much bigger than the others with about 40 rooms each. I decided to go with a slightly smaller one. Jukeiso only has 13 rooms. I was looking for onsen, but for me they weren't worth the added expense if I as a single guest was even allowed.
