| Huaraz | Do I need a mule in the Anden? Posted: Wed May 28, 2003 10:26 AM UTC
Next september I will do a trek in the Cordillera Huayhuash with my brother. I normally don't carry more than 15 kg on my back, but if I take the food for 9+3 days it will be at least 28kg. Do you think we should rent a mule to carry the food? Thanks for your help! jo

Hey,
I´m going to perú in december, too and I read that mules are a very cheap and easy opportunity to take your food with you. I also heard that you can rent a mule together with a guide. It´s very cheap, but on longer tracks you will have no decicion. If you have some more information please inform me - that would be nice M.S.

Hi
I did this track few years ago, at that time u had to take a guide, we took also a mule to take the stuff. For me the track was very difficult even without the backpack on my back, but it is a great one Hilla
