We'll be on a cruise ship arriving at the Kagoshima port. I've heard there are 2 ports. We will be docking at the port that can handle a 116 ton ship. Would like to know how far the port is from the city center? Also, are there taxis available at the port? Thanks for any info...

As you heard, there are two ports, Kagoshima port and Kagoshima new port.
These two ports are located at a near place, I think you will arrive at Kagoshima new port. The distance from the port to central of Kagoshima is about 10km, a bus and a taxi are available, about 15 nimute drive to there.
