what would be the cheapest way to get from monterrey to the coast/beach? i most likely will not have a car, is there a bus or train or something that we could make a day or weekend of it? its about 3 hours away isnt it? if i had a car, how much would gas cost me? and do you think i would get harrassed at all by cops because i am american? thanks, i realize this was a lot of questions...

in my previous question, i meant harrassed by cops if i drove...like saying i did something illegal and they want me to bribe them inot letting me go ect...thanks to anyone who can help me out here:-)

Depends to what coast you want to travel. From Monterrey the nearest coast in Mexico could be Tampico, from Monterrey by bus could be 6 hours. That is the cheapest way to travel in Mexico. And about harassed by Cops if you have your passport with you and English-spanish dictionary you won’t have any trouble that is everywhere you visit any place in the world.
