Hi
We have just found out you cannot fly from Broome to Cairns (why why why?) and this disrupts our plans greatly! Can anyone suggest the cheapest way of doing this...we just need to get there quick and cheap with no sightseeing on the way!

You can fly from Broome to Cairns, BUT it's a round about way and rather expensive.
There is one flight with Qantas that goes Broome/Perth/Cairns and it takes 13 odd hours.
The special price I can see is about 797Aus Dollars one way

The other way could be fly Broome/Darwin/Cairns.....I know there are flights from Darwin to Cairns. You might have to do a stopover for a night in Darwin....not a bad thing.

Other than that, it's a bus trip with Greyhound.com.au

Oh bugger, the flight from Broome to Darwin goes around Aus before it get there...and is so damn expensive....

Broome to Darwin by bus and then maybe and then Darwin to Cairns by air.
Whatever you are going to do it's going to be expensive.
I have looked at one fare with Greyhound and the fullfare is 330Aus Dollars.They do have a special backpackers deal that could be a whole lot cheaper.
Darwin to Cairns Qantas fare is around 350Aus dollars oneway on one of their special deals...red e deal...
Someone else might have a better idea.

Hi, Suggest you go to Qantas web site, Virgin Blue web , and Skywest. You might be able to pick up a flight to either Perth or another capital city at internet prices then connect to a flight direct to Cairns.

Skywest has a flight from Broome to Darwin at a reasonable price and it's only an hour or so flight!

remember you are flying one side to the other and both are not major cities.
