nice hostels and going on to Nepal

Hello to everybody!

1.
I will visit Varanasi around July and maybe some of you could recommend a nice hostel/guesthouse for my stay. I travel on the cheap side, but a nice location would be great (tough trade-off in varanasi?).
Maybe at the ghats?

2.
From here I want to go on to Kathmandu/Nepal. Im thinking about taking the plane (saving some 20hours) - where are good places to book the flight? Travel agencies or straight at the airport?
I heard you get 25% off if you havent turned 30 yet - is that right?

The Ghats hotels i don't know but i have used with my tourist guest Hotel Surya also there travel Desk can book your fly/Bus for Kathmandu.

Your description of the Hotel Surya is just fine. I have no map of Varanasi yet, but the "Varuna Bridge" sounds to me as if offers a riverside location, too. Sounds good - I will check more details.

I will need much more time to check all the tips on your great pages of India - really nice!

hello to all of you!

Can anybody tell me about a flight or train/bus connection to Kathmandu?
i heard there is nor flight connection offered at the moment, is that true? What about bus or train? 6-8h to Ghorakpur and than 8-10h to Kathmandu?
