| Trier | Food In Trier Posted: Tue February 21, 2006 05:58 PM UTC
I'm hanging out in Trier for over a week. Renting an apartment close to the Porta Nigra. Can anyone tell me what street I might find a grocery store near by? I'd also love any suggetions on where to enjoy some tea and german pastries as well.
On a separate note, I want to visit some of the rock formations of the Mullerthal area. What town(s) is that closest to and is it easier to drive or take public transport? Thanks. |

I'm thinking of doing a similar thing but in Cochem. Where are the grocery stores there? What days are markets? Where is the best place for vegetables and fish? That sort of thing. I hope someone out there knows the region and can help us with self-catering ideas in Tier and Cochem!
Thanks!

Back from our trip and we had NO problem finding stores in Trier. All over germany there are small grocery stores and a bakery in every direction. Trier wasn't a huge city but i could walk a few blocks in any direction and find a store. It was the same in most places we went. Not as much in the suburbs but you didn't have to go far.
