| Albuquerque | Question for fellow locals :) Posted: Mon February 20, 2006 04:46 AM UTC
Okay, I admit I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box some days, but after being unexpectedly diverted on my way home from the west side d/t Coor construction, I decided to just take Central all the way home. Being a local, I never tend to do this ... but what the heck!
So while driving along, enjoying the neon, and being careful of the cruisers ... I noticed something Downtown I hadn't noticed before - the New Mexico Holocaust & Intolerance Museum / Study Center. Right downtown .... between 4th and 5th. The first thought in my head was ... "How long has this been here?" So, I'm gonna ask you guys .... How long has this been there? Have any of you been there yourself? Before you get all hot under the collar, I have checked our little corner of the internet, and no one has written any VT tips on it ...... so am I NOT the only one who hadn't noticed this place before? Oh, here's their website before you all think I really am a dork (or maybe looking up the website makes me MORE of a dork) http://www.nmholocaustmuseum.org/ Thanks guys n gals :) Kymba |

Kym, I had not heard of it either but I have an excuse...I am old and senile. Awareness is important in many contexts.

"New Mexican/Greek," does that mean refried beans with your souvlaki?

Don't feel bad Kymba, the museum is really easy to miss. What with the Kimo theater diverting all attention away from it.
