| Vernazza | family accomodations Posted: Sat February 18, 2006 05:52 PM UTC
We are a family of six with four children 17-20 and we are in Cinque Terre for 2 nights, at the end of March. We would love to find accomodations that could accomodate us all together, for a reasonable price. Is it realistic to think we could book something when we get there, or should we try to find something before we go? Anyone found accomodations for a large family in Cinque Terre? Thanks!

The Cinque Terre is a very popular tourist destination. With a group that large, it might be best to book ahead rather than take a chance of finding something at the last minute. You don't want to waste touring time looking for rooms!
We usually stay in farm apartments and they don't often rent for fewer than three day, preferably a week, so hopefully some of the Italians on VT will come to your rescue. You can also type Cinque Terre into the VT search window above and do an accomodations search.

In Manarola Andrea at Da Baranin has apartments that are nice and might meet your needs.

Hi ,that's Maks from Lerici, a place quite close to 5 terre, many people find their accomodation just coming and people from the place glance at them offering rooms. But if you are a bit more people I suggest you to book previously.
I suggest some websites: http://www.5terre.com/FrameSet.php?LeftFile=HomePage.php http://www.aptcinqueterre.sp.it/ita/home_ita.htm try on google or other search engine "5 terre b&b" or "cinque terre b&b", many of the sites are in english. For moving, due to all the 5 town are carfree area, to use the train, at train station they sell pass ticket quite cheap for moving along. If the weather is fine and you're a good tracker, there's "la Via dell'Amore" (lover's path) which goes on midway on the sea and link all the villages, really nice! Last but not least, If you find all booked you can try at LA Spezia (not so nice) or in Portovenere or Lerici, from all these town there ar boats that goes there regularly and they might be a bit cheaper (not in peak season!!!!) Maks
