| Jaipur | Hotels & more in Jaipur. Please HELP!! Posted: Sat February 18, 2006 12:45 PM UTC
Hello guys,
Need your help!! Please advise me on the following: Which hotel of the following 3 would be a better choice for a 2-3 day stay in Jaipur in terms of the best value for money and having a Rajastani style/flavour in its setting, Mandawa Haveli, Alsisar Haveli or Aray Niwas? Where is better to shop for cloths, shoes, leather and jewellery, in Delhi or Jaipur? How much is a rickshaw cost from Jaipur railway station to Hotel Mandawa Haveli? How close is Hotel Mandawa Haveli to major attractions in Jaipur? Where I could have a good Indian meal at reasonable prices? How much I would be expected to pay for a bus ride from Jaipur to Amber Fort? As I’m taking my mother with me and want to give her some relaxation treatment, where I could arrange for her to get good massage and aromatherapy? Till what hour at evenings it is safe to wander around Jaipur? Are there popular safe public gardens, parks where people could rest and have a meal at evenings? Thanks in advance. Miahri |

I'm afraid I can only answer one of your questions. The Kwality chain of restaurants has a branch in Jaipur, and is inexpensive and reliable.

Hi Miahri, My suggested hotel Alsisar haveli, Mandawa Haveli (both are heritage property) and Arya Niwas.
Bapu Bazar, Johari Bazar is famous for shopping for japurites. Auto Rikshaw ccost from railway station to hotel is about 20-25 INR. There are many indian resturant (Niros, Surya Mahal, Chankaya)on M.I. Road (close to your hotel). Have a nice time in Jaipur!

Hello guys,
Thanks for the help. Asina, could you please make it clear which of the hotels would be a better choice, as I couldn't understand it from your email. One more question. As I'll be travelling to and from Jaipur on Shatabdhi Express and it arrives in Jaipur around 11am and leaves around 6pm how many days I should spend in Jaipur if my whole stay in India is 7 days, of which some I should devote to Agra and Delhi? Should the duration of my Jaipur stay be like this: 1/2 day (the arrival day afternoon) + 1 day + 1/2 day (the departure day morning to late afternoon, or 1/2 day (the arrival day afternoon) + 2 days + 1/2 day (the departure day morning to late afternoon? Look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks. Miahri
