Hi,

I am looking at staying in Longyearbyen for a couple of months.

I have done some basic enquires on accommodation. I could only afford guesthouses. Could someone who has stayed at:
1) Mary-Ann's Polarrigg
2) Spitsbergen Guesthouse
3) The '102' Guesthouse
please tell me a bit more about these places?

I have stayed at Mary-Ann's and had nothing to complain about. Clean and simple. The rooms are small but there is a big common room and also a kitchen with cooking facilities.

Has anyone stayed at the Spitsbergen Guesthouse? I would appreciate your comments. From the map, it is in Nybyen, which looks like it is around two kilometres from the shops/centre.

Why don't you try to contact stefano@poliarctici.com? He can provide accommodation in flat with private kitchen and bathroom (bed linen and kitchen equipment included).I have been there, very very good...

We stayed at the Guesthouse 102 and were very pleased with it! (read my accomodation tip on it, if you are interested). Nybyen is about 2 km walk from the "center", but that is no problem at all! Good luck on your stay in Longyearbyen!
