can someone tell me if the displays are still on. what one shld wear and are there youth hostels at harbin or decent but budget accomodation with heating

As I know, the display is begin in 8 Jan and end in 11 Jan. what a pity! You have missed the display.Don't worry,you can take part in the next one.

I think the displays will still be on, just that they won't be so pretty anymore, due to erosion et al.
There's a HI hostel called the Little Fir, check out http://www.yhachina.com for more details.
