I'm thinking of going to Rovinj on the 23rd of May. But not sure what the weather will be like. Has any one been at this time of year ? Does it rain ? What's the tempreture like at night time, i.e. do you have to wear a coat or are you still ok in shorts etc ?

We were many years before in Opatija, is nearby. Some times in May, June, July, August. But the Weather is beautiful, warm days and nights, ok it will be rain maybe, short rain, warm rain, after that very humid. Nice place, and you can always go in shorts, if you want.

It is the time of the year when the daily temperature rise up around 25C degrees. The sea-water is still little bit too cold for the locals (around 20C) but swimming is possible in short terms. The end of May is not that rainy, you'll probably have nice and dry weather conditions. Btw, it is the best time for exploring around, do not miss hinterland of Istria which is fabulous.

I was there in June so no help, but check out the bar Valentino, situated on rocks with cushions, great for watching the sun go down & just relaxing.
