I'd like to stay in Arona for a few nights in May, before my flight back to the US. I really can't find many reviews relating to three star (or better) hotels around Arona. I know I can find more in Stresa, but that might be too far from Malpensa for an early Sunday morning departure. I'd like to be within 30 minutes drive of the airport.
Any suggestions? |

We see back in 2005 you asked for a suggestion for a hotel in Arona Italy? Did you ever go there? if so, where did you stay? or where would you recommend? we are going at the end of sept. for three days and only found three hotels with a lakeview and close to ferry...Giardino, Concorde and Atlanti. where would you recommend? thank you. laurie

Hi dear,
i want to suggest you a nice,quite hotel in Arona wich has an amazing view on the whole lake and Angera fortress...the hotel is the "San Carlo hotel", wich is located just close to the San Carlone building, on the rock upon arona...i discovered it because of its nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace lake view....prices are ok and it is close to Malpensa (trust me i live near malpensa...i should say "in" malpensa...heheh) best wishes elisabetta
