We are interested in purchasing land in the high tatras for a campsite. we were originally looking in poland but quite interested in Tatranska Lomicka etc. We wish to run a summer camp, employing locals and teaching english to the community. This is 2.5 years late but purchasing land in the high tatras is not that easy. First of all, Vysoke Tatry is a national park so private land is scarce. There are a couple of campgrounds in the area but they are not the typical "summer" camp in North America. The campsites are in open spaces exposed to sun, rain and lightning. Tatry is changing. It's especially visible this year (summer 2008) due to building boom. I do hope the authorities slow it down.
