Yiwu Travel Forum

Hi, I will be going to Macau, Shenzhen and Guangzou next week. If I have time, I'm thinking to go to Yiwu too. Can anyone tell me few options that I can have to go to Yiwu from Macau/Shenzhen/Guangzuo?

There is direct train from Guangzhou to Yiwu, they are K210/K211 and 1312. Both trains are slow and will take about 24 hours.
There are also fly from Guangzhou to Yiwu, it's only one and half hours.

Youre going to Yiwu...i LOVE Yiwu...well i mean the city itself is pretty rotten but the markets are great fun looking around..i live in beijing, so i always go to hangzhou and then form there get a bus to yiwu, so i cant offer any help on this one...but it looks like someone did already! Have fun!

enzhu, thanks for the info. 24hrs train is too long for me. How much is the domestic flight from Guangzhou to Yiwu? Can I buy the flight ticket online? Which Airline offer this domestic flight?

sugarpuff, thanks for the info. Can you tell me more the journey you always take to go to Yiwu? How long is the journey? How much it cost? Where is the good place to put up?

Well as Yiwu has a very small airport (i flew there once from beijing) it is easier to get to hangzhou and from there you just take the bus. It is about 1 3-4 hour ride, maybe less, i forget, and costs about 43RMB(I came across the ticket the other day!) Do you know where you want to shop when you get to Yiwu..there is a market called FuTian Market I believe..but i can check that for you, but everyone in Yiwu knows where it is as its the biggest one in the city. And of course it depends on what goods you are hoping to buy.

You just need to let the taxi driver know which city you want to go to from hangzhou as there are two bus stations and he will take you to the right one. You buy your tickets on the day..I think the first bus left around 8am.

About staying in Yiwu, I DO know of two hotels..but I need to look up my things to get the phone numbers and addresses for you. You could of course just doit a s day trip from hangzhou as there really is very liitle to do in Yiwu and then i would help you with hotels in Hnagzhou. I actually stayed at one called 'Super 8' and its kind of like a hostel/2 star hotel. Very very clean and new and very cheap prices!
