And another question, there might be even more to come.
My son was looking for trecking tours to the Thi Lo Su waterfall, but the only ones he found were 10 day tours. He won't have enough time for this. Are there any trecking tours to the waterfall and the Umphang Wildlife Sanctuary that are only 3 or 4 days?
Can he book these tours in Umphang?
The tours he read about consisted of trecking for a short distance, then relaxing for several hours. Are these tours so exhausting that you need to relax after one or two miles?

I have a friend is tour guild in Umphang. He said Thi Lo Su trekking will be 3 days and 2 nights trip, start from rafting along Meaklong river to a place call Thasai. From this point to Thi Lo Su, tourist could select to trekking, around 4 hours according to climbing mountain, or get on car and overnight at Thi Lo Su camp site.The second day trekking 8 km from Thi Lo Su to Khotha village and stay one night in the village. The third day, rid elephant from the village to Palatha village on Meaklong side. Then go back to Umphang.

Thank you for your reply, I will keep it for any possible further journeys to Thailand. Last year my son met another traveller and together they were able to find a good tour guide and had a wonderful trekking tour to the waterfall.
