Qir Shemona , Amirim etc Posted: Wed February 1, 2006 07:29 PM UTC
Hello,
3 of us women will be in Israel from March 14- till 3 April.
We want to go up to Amirim, Rosh Pinah, Qir Shemona etc. for the last few days.
We would like to tour around Amirim, the organic farming community, have some of the vegetarian gourmet food there, check out some areas with views, nature waterfalls, and meet people in the community etc.
Can anyone tell me how to get to www.zimmer in English?
It is all in Hebrew!
Are there clean places to stay?
Clean as in: simple basic rooms, no animals in the room due to allergies etc.
Any advice would be grealty appreciated!
Shalom Shalom,
Valerie

Shalom Valerie uvruchot habaot leisrael !
As a vegetarian since age of 5 who knows personally some of the founding fathers of AMIRIM - I'll be more than glad to meet you and guide you in AMIRIM.[voluntarily, make no mistake].
Pls call me off-line in this site, and I'll give you my phone numbers.
and btw, if you're interested in a PURE organic farm - you can find it in South India, what I did 4 months ago:

Hi Avi,
Speaking of mango I just finished a Banana Mango Kale smoothy!
So you know the farmers in Amirim?
I am very interested....
Where are the "gourtmet vegetarian" restaurants?
I am a Master Gardener volunteer plus love to eat vegetarian.
Shalom Shalom,
Valerie

Any kibbutz zimmer is standard and clean. They all have kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, fridge, basic dishes, bathroom with shower, air conditioner (which is used to heat in the winter), small kitchen table with chairs, outdoor patio with table and chairs, and almost always an outdoor BBQ - and, of course, lots of lawns, flowers and space outside. And all serve a full breakfast which is included in the price of the room. I have been in many of them in the Upper Galilee area - just last week I stayed at Kibbutz Gadot on the Jordan River (5 minutes from Rosh Pina). There are zimmers in most - but not all - of the kibbutzim. In the winter, the price for a room for two (including breakfast) is between NIS 300-350 per night (about US $65-75)

Please note that the Purim holiday this year is March 13th-15th. That means that prices would most likely be higher during those days and availability a little tighter.

The Manara cliff is wasily accessible form Qiryat shmona. The cable car is on the south entrance to the city, right next to road 90. You shouldn't have any problems getting there.
There are several restaurants in Amirim. You probably want this one:
Ha'Seuda Ha'Achrona (The last supper), 4th house on the right, phone: +972-4-6989788.
Other restaurants there are:
*) Chamiel: +972-4-6989746
*) Carmeli: +972-4-6989316
*) Dalia: +972-4-6989349
*) Steph's: +972-4-6980946
I can see zimmers in Amirim:

And quite a few at:
