I am planning to visit Bospop festival in Weert this year. And i would like to find out some more information about previous festivals, just to make sure what kind of festival it is - what kind of music, people, atmosphere etc.
Can anyone help me with this?

From what I can read on the site they already know some names for this year - Simple minds, Simply Red, Roxy Music and the Dutch singer Anouk - looks quite good! See www.bospop.nl. Heard from a former colleague it was a similar festival also 1-2 years ago, so a mixture of 70s/80s and recent bands, more "mainstream" popmusic, not hardrock or so. There is also a camping on location, the town Weert is not far from Eindhoven in the South of the Netherlands.
The site is recently renewed, probably that is the reason why there is no English language site yet. Best is probably to check back on the site from time to time.

Must say I have visited several years all kind of music festivals in Holland, but this year - for the first time - I noticed Bospop, because of it's line up. I bought immideately a ticket for three days; 125 euro and ordered a room in the nearby (Valkenswaard) Formule one hotel; a room for 35 euros a night.
The list of names from artists, only got better. Even Joe Jackson is add to it... it must become 3 crazy days, so much good music. Seldom, such chance !
