do u know anyone who can take us around sri lanka? cheap only. we dont care if the car has no air con

lots of options. You might even be able to consider using public transport as long as you not going to any far out places. do send me an email and ill try and work out something for you.

I am in Sri Lanka now and it is the 4th of my 8 days trip with chartering a private car. I arranged through a travel agent and it eats up a portion of total costs, of course as they have an office to run. Alternatively, you can contact some drivers directly. You can check out the "transportation" pages where some travellers put up the contact of their drivers used before. You should negotiate with the drivers and then you can save more money. At the same time, you get some quotation from the travel agents so you have a bearing of what you should pay.

You had better plan in advance as the drivers that you want may be doing a few days trip with other clients.
