Hi, I'd like to go bicycling in the Vinales region, particularly to the cave that's located 15km west of vinales. How can this be done? Is there a bike rental place in vinales or are we allowed to take bikes with us aboard the Via Azul bus from HAvana to Vinales.

Hello...another one with the love of the bikes... Cuba has a poor or almost non existent bike trails and maps. Also is really hard to find places where to rent bicycles. Better take yours in the plain with lot of replacements and tools and use it in cuba. U can even take just old bikes and leave them in Cuba as a gift for someone when U comeback to your home, it will be a well appreciated gift to anyone. Viñales is a beatiful place, but can be a little bit hilly, with lots of ups and downs. I think that Via Azul allow to take the bikes in the bus without problems... have fun!

I just return from 4200km ride in Cuba.
The last week I were in Vinales. There is a little bit hard to rent a bike (you should ask the people who rent CASA PARTICULAR, they rent bikes) The price is aroind 5 - 6 CUC per day.
In Vinales also there is an office to rent Scooters. The price is 15 CUC per day. New scooters big enough for two. The office is just in the center.
And At last. YES, in Via Azul buses there is absolutely no problem to take a bike!

sory there is no posibile to get any bike.
I now some good place in pinar del rio, where you can get bike and good casa.

in vinales is bus for 5 pesos and you can drive all day around vinales and see all local interesting places.
