Hengelo Travel Forum

I am coming over for a friends wedding the 6-8 August and I need somewhere nice to stay, either a good B&B or Hotel. It needs to be near 'Het Wapen van Beckum' as that's where the event is, and we are getting the train back to schipol late on the friday.

Any ideas anyone please?

Oooops, how could I have missed this posting. Het Wapen van Beckum is thé place for celebrating weddings. Beckum is a small neigbouring village to Hengelo (and is part of the Hengelo adminstration). All Hengelo hotels are on my Hengelo page (http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/2f01c/7080e/3/#T) and Beckum is not more than a 10 minute drive by car from either one.
If you travel by train the new STAR hotel may be your best option; it is the closest to the station and brandnew. From the station you can take the bus the Beckum. I guess when you ask around at the party somebody may give you a ride back to the Hengelo train station. (A job for the best man).

This will be another missed opportunity for a mini VT-meeting; I think I'm in Canada at the time you are here.
