| Breda | Trains from Dusseldorf? Posted: Sat January 28, 2006 01:35 PM UTC
Hello everybody.
I have recently booked my tickets to Dusseldorf willing to go from there to Breda city in Holland based in some info that i took from a friend, but i actually dont know if there are trains connecting Dusseldorf Airport to Breda and if not, is there any other way to get to Breda from Dusseldorf by train? If anyone knows prices please inform me. Nikos, Athens - Greece |

Nikos, use www.bahn.de (look for English or French or Italian on the far left if your German isn't good) for train schedules in and around Germany.
You can take the train from the airport to Breda, but you will probably have to change trains two or more times. However, the trains seem to run frequently, and the whole trip should take 2.5 - 3.0 hours. Bill

Just wanted to add that the connection through Arnhem uses the more expensive (unless you can book well in advance) ICE-trains, and you can travel through Venlo also with regional trains. This also means you can travel with up to 5 persons on 1 ticket in the weekend (for 35 EUR or so), for the German part of the trip to Venlo.
Have a nice trip! P.

I took trains from Dusseldorf airport to many directions including Breda. You can take a train from the airport to the city station and from there train to Venlo and change there to Breda. In general, no need to worry, it is simple, just buy your ticket at the counter at the airport station and they will print out for you the schedule and time table where you need to change.
If you use only regional trains it will save you about 10 euro and will take you one hour more. So just think what you prefer.

Use the ICE...train is made for long distance travel. So lots of spaces to store your luggage. The normal trains are a lot more difficult with regard to luggage.
Also not a lot of stops. making travelling easier and faster.
