| Ensenada | Better time to visit Ensenada Posted: Fri January 27, 2006 04:22 PM UTC
My wife and young daughter (2 yr) are planning to visit Rosarito/Ensenada for a week either in early May or early Sept. Can you tell us what would be
the better choice. Is either time beach weather? |

September would probably be warmer, but about the same chance weather wise.
Both are definitely beach weather months, water would be MUCH warmer in Sep than in May. Ensenada is not a beach town. Estero Beach, to the south might work for you.

I agree, September would be best of the two time periods you are considering. In September the weather is usually hotter than even in July or August and the water is quite a bit warmer. Las Rosas Hotel & Spa is on the beach in Ensenada, about two miles north of the downtown area.
http://www.lasrosas.com/index.html In Rosarito, the Rosarito Beach Hotel is also on the beach at the south end of the downtown area and they are "kid" friendly. http://www.rosaritobeachhotel.com/index.php Another consideration might be the Calafia Resort. Hotel Calafia and Historic Village is not "on the beach" but on the cliffs above the beach and I'd suggest at least stopping there for a drink while in Rosarito Beach. http://www.hotel-calafia.com/index.jsp Hope this helps, Linda
