| San Gimignano | we want to get married in San Gimignano Posted: Wed January 18, 2006 07:32 PM UTC We have a few questions: 1) We can we have a civil wedding ceremony in San Gimignano. Is possible to have in a piazza? We are expecting about 50 people. 2) Who can perform the ceremony? 2) Is there a place were where can have a casull reception? 3) Is the day of week of the ceremony an issue? |

I had thought about getting married in italy but couldn't find an Italian man. Haha. JK. Seriously, I still get emails from this company that seems very professional. Hiring a company to do the planning will cost a lot more but will save you a lot of trouble & headache. The website is www.italyweddings.com

I agree with dtownkitty...
better to ask to a specialized company. The italian bureaucracy can made you really bureau-crazy (and all the time needed can be longer then your marriage :-) San Gimignano is a great location! In the nearby (20 miles) there is Monteriggioni (http://www.castellitoscani.com/italian/monteriggioni.htm) a smaller town (but VERY nice) that can be easier to arrange (In this case you can contact the mayor directly). Buona Fortuna. Ciao. Marco
