South Padre Island Where to Stay
Posted: Tue January 17, 2006 03:02 PM UTC
Has anyone stayed at Seabreeze Beach Resort #2 5400 Gulf Blvd. What was the experience like and, would you recommend Inverness or Saida or any other Condo over this. We wish something laid back during the day. This place seems to cater to retirees and families . Is it clean and decent since they advertise as a luxurious property. All these adjectives and pictures can all be deceiving. Need your opinions.
Thanks
marvie

I personally have never stayed there, but the word of mouth here is that Inverness is better.

Check out my local site at: www.spireviews.com

Lots of stuff you may find useful there. Have fun!

Never stayed at Seabreeze Beach Resort #2 - but HAVE stayed several times at Seabreeze I --- it is wonderful and very peaceful. They do not rent to spring breakers.... so if you are looking for the hard partying scene you should go elsewhere. That being said - if you are looking for a nice (mid-to upper end) accomodations and peace and quiet - Seabreeze I is the place. Huge balconies, nice pool and pool deck and very friendly and helpful management. Their website is http://www.seabreeze1.com/index.html

Going there in late May and cannot wait!

I would not recommend Inverness.
It is a huge building...looks like a big block (hurricane proof)...and I just would not want to stay there.

Other than the beach, there are no grounds on this property.
A lot of this building is a "time share" property.

I have stayed at several places on South Padre. Let me go and look them up for you.

Parkshore is excellent.
They have a gated community and a great swimming pool. Highly recommend.

Another excellent condo is Suntide 111. Not to be confused with Suntide 11.
this is the only condo on the island (to my knowledge)..that has an indoor AND an outdoor pool. All of the properties are individually owned and decorated etc... Different companies will rent different condos. I have stayed there 3-4 times. Highly recommend.

Inverness doesn't have a pool....that I could ever see. I think a pool is important. Sometimes you want to be at the pool...and not on the sandy beach !

BridgePoint is probably the nicest place on South Padre. Very expensive...very nice.

Let me know if you need more recommendations.
