We are visiting Playa Azul on Feb 20 for a week. Does anyone know the state of the beach there ?

That hotel as all the west coast hotels have man made beaches. They were all washed away in the hurricane but they are being rebuilt. The Hotel Playa Azul is now open again the the beach is back to normal. I will try to post a photo but it's my first on this forum and may not come out.
