Nerja VILA FLAMENCA, NERJA

Hi vt members
please can anyone tell me what the Vila Flamenca is like in Nerja.
It is based on half board & is a total price of £775 for me & my boyfriend to go which i thought was great.
Please can you tell me more about the location of the hotel, and whether it is close to nightlife where we can go to nice restaurants, bars, pubs, shopping etc. The last holiday we went on was nice but there was not much to do for a young couple like us.... we are only 20 & 21.

Thankyou in advance.

Hi Stacey!! Nerja is not particularly lively - it still retains a lot of it's Spanish charm and I don't think it will be enough for you/your boyfriend to do. Also the cost of the acc is expensive, (I think as a seasoned traveller to Espana). You can get some really good ALL INCLUSIVE deals if you are able to book early. Nerja is a lovely spot with the Balcon del Mar as it's famous beauty spot, however, as I've said it's relatively quiet. My suggestion if you want disco's/nightlife is to head for Torremolinos or even Marbella, (Puerto Banos), where you are sure to find 'the' nightlife. Good luck y adios!! Georgie

My wife and I went there in June 2005.
It suited us perfectly as it caters mainly for older couples (we are in our 50s but feel younger!). It is a very nice 3 star hotel with a distinct spanish feel to it. Rooms are not large but clean and serviced daily. Food is,in our opinion, very good for the price, there is plenty of choice at breakfast from fresh fruits and cold meats and cheese to a complete english if you wish and as its self service you can pig out if you wish. Dinner is also self service and there is usually at least 6 or 7 main dishes always pasta and rice and a potato dish or chips. The restaurant can get crowded but its very friendly and easy going. The bar is well priced compared to local prices but only stays open till midnight, there is entertainment each night but it is aimed at middle aged . We always walked into Nerja, about 15 stroll away, there are few bars nearby as its a residential area.
The nearest beach is Burriana which is also the best but it is down a very steep hill about 500metrs away, plenty of bars and restaurants there. Centre of Nerja is 15mins walk, plenty of bars and restaurants, there are some discos and clubs but Nerja is mainly a quiet place. We are going back to the hotel again this year as we liked Nerja so much!

Plenty of nightlife for the young set at Plaza Tutti Fruttis off Calle Antonio Millon. Countless Bars that don´t really get going to 11p.m. or later.
