My husband and I will be visiting Capri soon. I plan to go shopping (and he promises to be a good sport!), and I would like to know what I should look for on Capri. What are they known for? What would be a rip-off? What is the best thing you bought on the island?

Capri has an abundance of upscale fashion and jewelry stores, but very expensive. Very expensive. Restaurant recommendation - Casanova's. We made our best purchase on the Amalfi peninsula - ceramics - if interested, check my Positano shopping tip.

Make sure to get some exquisite perfume at Carthusia in Anacapri's main street.My favorite is Fiori di Capri. Make sure to buy a large one or go once a year as I am luckily able to do. Also great gifts are the Turqoise? dolphin pendants on black rope in the shop nearby.

Ciao baby ciao. If you aren't staying there as we were not[$$$] At around sunset go to the hotel Quisisana outdoor bar, dress up and get the 20 euro cocktails, yummy gratis nibbles and watch the bella gente ( beautiful people). We met A group that invited us to a bar singalong place for amazing neopolitan music, with dancing etc. Was an amazing place that did'nt open til 11:00 or so, ask the concierge at your hotel as was the best time I ever haD. We left at 3:00 and had ice cream with 20 or so others. Awesome!!
