Please help me with information on what there is to do for fun in Hsinchu Taiwan. I will be visiting for Taiwan New Year's and so not know what to do.
I was there last year and found that everyone goes home, so any help is appreciated. Thanks, Keith |

Hi,
How long will you be in Hsinchu and when will you arrv depart. Shops e.t.c. normally opens up on the 2nd day. There will be some Pubs that will be open at that time. Hsinchu is the main entrance into the Toroko National Park. Its just a small town north of Hualien. So i guess the best way to sightsee hsinchu is to enter the Toroko National Park. Toroko has trail walks, waterfall, beautiful scenery and tourist attraction areas. If you need a place to stay, you can try at a local homestay in hsinchu called Sakadang. try www.sakadang.com
