Hi
I only spent a couple of hours in Oistins (and it was raining heavily at the time!), so I probably didn't get a fair impression of the place. It seemed that most of the restaurants specialised in seafood and the resort itself appeared quite small, with not a great deal to do (unless I overlooked part of it). St Lawrence Gap (lots of restaurants and entertainment) and Worthing (stunning beach and a fair few restaurants) are about 40 minutes away on foot, or 5 minutes by taxi or bus. Enjoy Barbados! Oistens is a very small area of the southcost in Barbados. There is a Fish Festival but you may be refering to the Friday Night Fish Fry that happens every Friday Night. There isn't much else in that neck of the woods except some local rum shops and those types of things.
There are several good restaurants in St. Lawrence Gap as well as along the south coast road going through Worth and Hasting heading towards Bridgetown. Where are you staying?? This might help with recommendations of what to do and where to eat.
