| Kijal | Can I Make it by a Public Bus?! Posted: Mon December 26, 2005 07:44 PM UTC
Hi to all Malaysia travellers and lovers!! I'll be in Malaysia for 2 weeks and would have to travel to Kijal from Kuala Limpur. I thought if I travel by bus it might be a good way to see Malaysia. Any tips? Can I really catch a bus? From where it departs? Thank you!

Are you refering to Kijal in the state of Terengganu?? You can take the Kuala Lumpur - Kuala Terengganu bus but ask the bus driver to drop you off as you reach your destination in Kijal. Don't think there is a direct bus to Kijal. Not from K.L anyway.

you can do that, if you are feeling more adventorous, get a bus from KL to Kuantan, then hop on a bus to Kemanan. Its a fishing village/town with a very nice beach nearby(Cherating). Then catch a bus from to Kijal. This way, you get to see and taste some east coast hospitality and food. Highly recommended if you have time.

Hi
You have an option to purchase the ticket at the PUTRA Bus Station in Jln Tun Ismail(Hentian Putra) near PWTC in KL. This is where all the East bound busses departed. One of the coice available is from Kuala Lumpur to Kerteh with Transnasional (http://www.journeymalaysia.com/ptakualaterengganu.htm). Kijal is on the way, so you need to advise the driver where to stop. Take the morning trip if u want to enjoy the scenery along the way.
