You should try to visit Pokhara, that's beautiful and a lot of stuff to do too! For Kathmandu two days is enough. Visit the ghats (in the north) and ofcourse the temples.

Hi.

I am visiting Nepal on 26th December 2005. I've been to Kathmandu for business a couple of times before in past 2 years.

Refering to your post, I would suggest that you stay in Kathmandu 3 nights, and go to Pokhara for another 2 - 3 nights. You mentioned that you've got up to a weeks time. So, that should be abou 1 week. Please take into consideration that it can take up to 1/2 day to travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by road due to the conditions. Sometimes, when rainfals are on the heavier side, you may not even be able travel on those roads (damaged), and hence stuck in between Kathmanu and Pokhara. Other option is to fly.

When will you be arriving exactly, anyways?

If you need more advice, please let me know. I could always get some help from my local business partners there.
