| Copper Canyon | You're right. Someone DOES need to learn a little geography Posted: Tue December 20, 2005 03:26 PM UTC
Specifically YOU. There IS a Copper Canyon in Texas.
www.city-data.com/city/Copper-Canyon-Texas.html Believe it or not, place names are NOT copyrighted; you can have a Paris in Texas, Ontario, or France. VT simply makes available the opportunity to discuss visits to just about any place on the map, even if it isn't the most famous one.

To quote http://www.coppercanyon-mexico.com/ "The name, "Copper Canyon" is used as a general reference to the Canyons. A more proper name might be "Sierra Tarahumara", since the Copper Canyon (Barranca del Cobre in Spanish) is but one of six massive gorges in the area covering 64,000 sq. kms (25,000 sq. miles)."
Indeed, "Sierra Tarahumara" can be found in VT by searching Destinations. I will admit, however, that as a native of Texas, that the phrase "Copper Canyon" as used here is far more likely to refer to the place in Mexico than the place in Texas...oh, well... Bill

For whatever the reason, my point is being misconstrued.
When you click onto the "Copper Canyon" it does NOT go anywhere to a link for Texas or anywhere else other than Mexico so my point is why do they have it listed for Texas when the link goes to Mexico???

| Copper Canyon | Your "explanation" only further shows your ignorance Posted: Fri December 30, 2005 01:05 AM UTC
Here's the link to the Copper Canyon, Texas page:
www.virtualtourist.com/travel/North_America/United To get there, just go to [Travel Guides] tab, then click on "North America", "United States", "Texas", "Other Destinations", and then "Copper Canyon." You'll get a page where people can (but, as of yet, have not) post info on Copper Canyon, Texas. In other words, when you click on the "Copper Canyon" link in the "Texas" page, you get exactly what you should. Your statement that you go to Copper Canyon, Mexico; when you are in the Texas Page; is clearly false.
