Hi all,
I'd be making a trip to Lucerne this December and would like to go to the Swiss Alps. Is it possible to base myself at Lucerne and make a day trip to the Alps or do I have to stay at one of those Alps resorts? Thanks! |

Hi!
It's very possible to base you in Lucerne if you want to do a day trip to the Alps! The town is very close to the mountains, but it depens on where you want to go in the Alps ?

Yes, it‘s posssible to stay in Lucerne and to do day trips to the Alps. But i would recommend you to stay p.ex. in Engelberg or Grindelwald, if you like party places, or in one of the smaller mountain villages if you prefer only nature (and now snow).
