San José Costa Rica Travel Forum

I will be visiting Costa Rica in Feb. 2006 and looking for a local travel agent to arrange some transfers from airport to Arenal/Monteverde and also make hotel reservations in that area.
Can anyone recommend travel agent that they used?

I did not use a travel agent but booked everything on line. Monteverde transportation is good and has its own web site. I stayed at the los lagos and it was great and close to the volcano. It also has its own web site. If you need anymore help email me at anoon98288@aol.com I have been to Cr several times and keep a lot of information at my office that would probably help you.

I found a great package on their website that allowed me to travel on my own, where I wanted to and they were extremely flexible when I wanted to tweak the package to fit my trip. In fact, I was delayed in Houston on my flight down and I called them after business hours, explained that I wouldn't be arriving until the next morning and they jumped into action... they rearranged my itinerary, contacted the rental car company and had a representative come all the way to meet me at the airport in Liberia instead of making me waste another day to meet them in San Jose as was my original plan. Great customer service, great prices. Let them know what you'd like to do and I'm sure they'll find a way to get you there.
