You can get train to Reading, then change for train to Exeter st Davids, I think it takes a little over 3 hours.

Hi
I would suggest that you can either take the Gatwick Express (train) to Paddington Train Station and from there you can get a train straight to Exeter. Alternatively, you can get a coach (using National Express - A Bus company) right from Gatwick to Exeter.

Look at www.nationalrail.co uk for train timetables, and www.nationalexpress.com for coaches. I'd go by train, more expensive but far, far faster.

Here you go, avoiding central London by going via Reading from Gatwick by train is much the fastest and easiest way to get there. Trains are expensive, but if you get a railcard, the prices reduce considerably.

If cost isn't an option, there are direct flights between Gatwick & Exeter but the chaepest I could see them for was £250! These are easily found using the Google.co.uk website.
If cost is an option then there are National Express (our version of greyhounds but not quite in same league) buses that travel from the terminal to Exeter. An economy return was showing at £40.50 with the only limitation of not travelling on Fridays and buying one day in advance. Cut and paste the link below; http://www.nationalexpress.com/bp/b2.cfm?id=41335506 Middle option is the train options as already covered in previous postings. Hope that helps Clive
